Pressure? What pressure? Mariners' Jack Zduriencik isn't worried about trade deadline

DETROIT — As Mariners fans agonize over the conundrum that faces their team at the trade deadline, the man upon whom the ultimate decision rests is unperturbed by the multiple options facing him.
“A complex situation is when you have 101 losses,” Seattle general manager Jack Zduriencik said Sunday in Cleveland. “That’s pretty complex. Somebody said, you’ve created a problem. I think it’s a nice … I wouldn’t even call it a problem. We’re in a pretty good spot right now.” Indeed, it beats the alternative: abject apathy mixed with equal parts dread and demoralization, which pretty much describes Mariners fans, circa July 31, 2008. All the Mariners have to weigh now, as they sit in that netherworld of quasi-contention, four games behind the torrid Angels, are the following weighty questions:
